If you are looking for a great entry to sound reinforcement for your band you could not find a better piece of equipment than the SHS SPM-8200 eight channel powered mixer. The SPM-8200 is 200 watts of fan cooled power, with eight high and low Z inputs, meaning that you can plug in eight XLR microphone cables, eight 1/4" instrument cables or any combination of the eight. Each channel features 2 band rotary EQ, plus volume and effects controls, so you can make each channel sound just the way you want! The on board digital delay gives you all the control you need for your reverb effects with complete control over the level and length of delay from a super short slap back to a giant coliseum effect. You can add in backing tracks from your favorite digital device or a drum through the dual RCA auxiliary inputs featuring an independent volume control effectively giving you a ninth channel. Record your performance to your favorite device with the dual RCA outputs. As your band grows this system can expand with you as the rear panel effects loop gives you the option to add on expanded FX capability at a later date. When you get a sound person, headphone monitoring is available through the phone out to insure that the mix is perfect every time!
