Yamaha brings a new member to its EMX family with the Winter NAMM introduction of the EMX5014C. This EMX5014C is 500 watts per channel multi mode stereo powered mixer. A total of 14 input channels accommodate mics, instruments and playback gear with a selection of mono micline and stereo line inputs. Connections include XLR, TRS 1/4 inch phone, and RCA. A power mode switch allows the two amplifier channels to be used with the stereo outputs, drive main speakers and separate monitor mixes, while power amp mode selector switches allow the user to configure the amp channels to suit a range of applications. For sound shaping and feedback control, the EMX5014C includes 3-band EQ on each input channel, a stereo 9-band graphic EQ on the main stereo output, and a separate graphic for the monitor output. Each channel also contains a Feedback Channel Locator FCL indicator that pinpoints the input channel creating the problem. Additionally, channels 1 thru 6 provide single knob compressors. This Yamaha exclusive feature is great for controlling unruly vocals or tightening up a bass guitar. Onboard signal processing includes a selection of 16 professional-grade programs reverb, echo, chorus, flanger, phaser, drum ambiance and distortion from Yamahas renowned SPX series processor products. In addition, onboard proprietary YSProcessing tailors the signal for optimum use with Yamahas Club Series loudspeakers. The EMX5014C is housed in a lightweight under 24 lb. standard mixer format that can be used as a stand-alone unit or rack mounted with the optional RK5014 kit for space-saving convenience.

The EMX5014C is a stereo powered mixer with 14 inputs, built-in digital effects and two 500-watt amplifiers. It is housed in a sturdy, steel chassis that is optionally rack mountable. The mixer section is a 14- input stereo design that has 3 aux sends, 1 for the internal effect and 2 monitor sends, (one fixed pre-fader and the other switchable pre or post fader. Inputs 1-6 have 3-band EQ with sweepable mids. Inputs 7-14 have 3-band EQ with fixed mid frequency. Yamaha has included two exclusives features, the Feedback Channel Locator (FCL) giving instant visual indication of feedback, and 6 channels of easy to use single knob compression are also included to ease operation. The effect send is routed to the built-in DSP that provides 16 high quality effects based on Yamaha’s popular SPX series effect processors. Assuring the EMX 5014C will grow with you, the two amplifiers can easily be switched to accept the main left and right outputs, allowing 500-watts for main speakers, or allow one of the amplifiers to run main and the other for monitors, or both channels can be used for monitors. The amplifier section uses Yamaha’s proprietary YSP, or Yamaha Signal Processing circuitry to optimize performance with Yamaha Club Series speakers. The EMX5014C uses small, quiet fans to keep the amplifiers cool. Numerous output jacks on the front panel allow the EMX5014C the flexibility to grow as needed
